hey y’all!! we’ve officially made it to nicaragua and we have now lived on the field for three weeks!! yay!! Time is flashing by!! The Lord has been SOOO evident over these last few weeks, and I have seen Him so many times in my own life and in the lives of others and those we encounter!!

During our time in Nicaragua we have several different forms of ministry, and we do one in the morning and another in the afternoon! One of our ministries is doing prayer walks! During a prayer walk, we walk through a town with a guide and a translator and pray over the people we encounter and share the love and hope of Jesus with them!! We also work on the farm, which can be anything from praying over the fields to weeding to cooking in the kitchen! We also visit a local hospital to pray over the patients and the families there, as well as encourage them with scripture and the gospel!! Each team gets the opportunity to attend the same micro church every week to be a part of the growing community here in Nicaragua and have opportunities to share how the Lord is working and moving and build up the body of Christ!! Twice a week, teams go to a local dump to share a message with the families who live and/or work there and give them a nutritious meal!! It has been so sweet to see the Lord in each and every one of these ministries! I am so excited to see more of how the Lord is going to move here, and I am learning that He doesn’t often move the way I expect Him to:)

On one of our prayer walks we got to witness two boys give their lives to the Lord!! We were talking to a father who was a believer and he shared some of the struggles he had experienced being in a non Christian neighborhood and home, specifically with spiritual warfare. We were able to encourage him and just build him up in the Lord and as we talked with him longer, more and more of his family started to join the conversation. We were able to share more of the gospel with his two sons and they both made the decision to follow Jesus!! this was such a sweet moment and I’m so thankful to gain new brothers in Christ!!

Since being here I’ve noticed that the joy of the Lord has been so evident and so present in the lives of people here!! I have witnessed immense joy and contentment from people who have little to nothing. Even in their need, they are so grateful for what the Lord has provided for them. One woman we met told us that she was so busy thanking the Lord for all that He had given her, that she no longer spends time complaining or comparing what she has or doesn’t have to what others have. I have been so inspired by their desire to praise and thank the Lord even in their need. The joy and contentment this attitude and heart posture has given them has been beautiful to witness.

thank you for all of your support and for reading my blogs and keeping me and my squad and Nicaragua in your prayers!! The Lord has been so good and so kind to me and I am so looking forward to being able to share more of the work He is doing in my life and my heart!
