Hey everyone!! This past week has been such a lovely week of ministry + learning + growing in the Lord!
What the Lord has taught me this week:
it has been a week of LEARNING for me this week!! God is teaching me + leading me in so many areas!! Something the Lord has challenged me a lot on this week is comparison! Since I am surrounded by such an amazing group of believers, it’s so easy to compare spiritual gifts + compare my worst with someone else’s best. The Lord has been showing me the beauty in RECOGNIZING, but not COMPARING the ways that He has blessed the people around me! Our squad is so beautiful + so blessed with many different spiritual gifts + we are able to work together as the body of Christ because of that!
“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.”
1 Corinthians 12:4-6 NIV
How the Lord worked through my squad this week:
This week has been full of prayer walks, hospital visits, prayer + intercession! I was able to spend a lot of time with children, which was particularly sweet for me! It is such a blessing to be invited into a home + have the honor of getting to play with their children! It is such a beautiful way to love their family + show them the kindness of the Lord, as well as His heart for children!!
The past two times we visited the hospital, we went into pediatrics, so we were mostly praying over + talking to children + their families. It is so hard to see children in pain + to see their family struggling because of that. However, that has given us such beautiful opportunities to encourage them in the Lord + share the gospel with hurting people! The Lord is near to the brokenhearted!! The Lord has given our team so many beautiful opportunities to bless + encourage hurting hearts + souls! It has been amazing to see how the Lord has blessed the people we interact with through us!
During one prayer walk, we got to meet + pray for a blind + deaf 97 year old woman! She lived with her daughter + son, + as they were both older as well, neither of them were able to work + they had to rely solely on the provision of the Lord! The son has been farming in the woods, but it is very difficult + hard on him + his body. We prayed over all three of them + encouraged them with scripture + talked to them about the beauty of body of Christ! Before we left, the son went + got his guitar + played + sang a worship song to us! What a blessing!!
Praise the Lord for the body of Christ!!
Thank you for all your thoughts + prayers! Please keep my squad in your prayers + continue to pray for the hearts of the Nicaraguans! The Lord is moving!
Thanks for sharing how the Lord is working in and through you!
